DeLaCrem Enric Granados: Reviews & Ratings
Coming from someone who knows quality. The ice cream here was outstanding, rich, creamy, and full of authentic gelato flavor. The quality was great and every bite was really flavoursome. The portions were large and the price was very reasonable. It is definitely worth the wait, but if you go around lunchtime, there is usually no line, so you can enjoy it without the wait. The staff were welcoming and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I would highly recommend this place to anyone craving real gelato with great taste and value.
The gelato here has a firmer texture, which I actually enjoyed. However, the persimmon flavor was quite mild and didn’t have much taste, so I didn’t end up finishing it. The chestnut flavor was very rich and authentic — I really liked it. But there were some hard bits of chestnut shell inside, which was a bit unpleasant. It would be great if this could be improved. Overall, still a nice place with potential.
Long line but worth the wait. They have the ice cream flavours listed outside so you can decide and choose what to order while waiting in line. I had nocciola and something else, I don’t think it’s straciatella. I had this during May so it was few months back but I had to leave a review because honestly it’s denser and creamy. They have tables outside to eat.

DeLaCrem Enric Granados stands out as a true gem in the vibrant heart of Barcelona’s L'Eixample district. Nestled on Carrer d'Enric Granados, this gelato haven draws a steady crowd, and with good reason. The moment you step inside, the rich, creamy texture of their artisanal ice cream becomes unmistakably clear — it’s a genuine homage to classic Italian gelato. Dense yet silky, their flavors offer a perfect balance of authenticity and creativity, from the luscious pistachio, celebrated as the best by many regulars, to the indulgent mascarpone paired with lemon and pecan.
What truly defines DeLaCrem is the quality that shines through every spoonful. Customer favorites like the chestnut provide a deep, earthy richness, although a gentle note of caution arises from occasional texture inconsistencies. The shop’s commitment to authentic flavor profiles ensures that every bite is satisfying without overwhelming sweetness, a testament to their mastery of balance. Even the firm texture of some offerings invites a delightful chewiness that sets them apart from typical ice cream parlors.
Beyond the gelato, DeLaCrem enriches the experience with carefully selected complementary beverages — quality coffee and tea, including Magnifico and CajChai, round out the indulgence perfectly. The welcoming atmosphere, paired with friendly staff and outdoor seating, makes it easy to savor these treats at a relaxed pace, especially during quieter midday hours when lines are shorter.
DeLaCrem’s appeal lies not only in the products but also in the experience: the anticipation of perusing the displayed flavor list while waiting, the option to sample flavors before committing, and the evident passion behind every batch of gelato. For anyone craving a genuine taste of Italy with a Barcelona twist, this is an essential stop. Every visit here reaffirms why it’s often hailed as the best ice cream spot in the city — a place where quality, flavor, and value meet in perfect harmony.
